Robert George is an experienced trial attorney who has represented clients in both civil trial and appellate matters throughout Florida in both state and federal courts. Over the past fourteen years with the firm, Mr. George has enjoyed representing national and local businesses as well as individuals. Mr. George's areas of practice include business and commercial litigation,
professional malpractice,
product liability, class actions, general real estate litigation, contract and
insurance disputes,
personal injury,
creditors' rights/bankruptcy and
wrongful death claims. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. George is a Civil Circuit Certified Mediator.
Mr. George was born and raised in Lake City, Florida. He attended the University of Florida where he earned his B.S.B.A. in Economics, with honors, in 1992. At the time of his graduation, Mr. George was listed in Who's Who of American College Students. Mr. George continued his education at the University of Florida College of Law where he graduated, with honors, in 1996. During law school, Mr. George served as Chief Defense Counsel for the University of Florida Conduct Court and as a Teaching Assistant for Legal Research and Writing and Appellate Advocacy.
Mr. George is an active member of The Florida Bar, American Bar Associationand the Jacksonville Bar Association. Through the local Bar, he has served as the Chair of the Commercial Litigation Section for three years. Mr. George has been recently named as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine and one of Florida's Legal Elite by Florida Trend Magazine. Both magazines recognize the top two percent of Florida lawyers as designated by their peers.
Mr. George is also involved in numerous community service projects and organizations not associated with the practice of law, including his church, where he serves as an Elder, his college fraternity, where he serves on the Alumni Board, The Sanctuary on 8th Street, where he serves as the President of the Board of Directors, and The Camp Diversity Foundation, where he serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Robert and his wife, Erin, have two children.
